After a management trainee-period at Bayerische Vereinsbank and five years of post-graduate academic studies at Bundeswehr University, joined Dr. Rosenkranz consulting firm (later Ernst & Young Consulting). As of 1985 partner and as of 1991 managing director of Ernst & Young Consulting. Since the merger of Ernst & Young Consulting with Capgemini in May 2000 Senior Vice President with Capgemini.
